Education not incarceration

I'm apart of a youth orgranization group called Urban Underground. Our mission of Urban Underground is advancing a new generation of young leaders committed to building safe and sustainable communities. We advance our mission through effective and age appropriate programs, strategic partnerships, and youth-led social change projects in the areas of health, education, and restorative justice. Our programs establish key pipelines for youth leadership, help groups broaden their definitions of diversity and inclusion, and create educational models relevant to today's youth. At the moment we have two different campaigns occuring. Education and Juvenile justice. I'm apart of the juvenile justice campaign, where we're trying to reach out to the inner city youth of milwaukee and help prevent them from being incarcerated. We believe by creating things for the teens to do, and physically going to the juvenile facilities that we can help prevent the youth from returning back to being incarcerated or prevent them fully from ever being in the system. We also get involved in other issues that occur in our community that we believe need to be addressed. we fight for our community and the rights of our youth.
