Empowered to LIVE

the problem:

Stomp-out Teen violence! A plague of youth brutality is claiming lives and dreams in Albany, GA.

vital stats:

people impacted:

300

people involved:

30

why it's important:

My family and friends are tested daily as they try to make lives for themselves in a hostile environment where many simply survive when I believe that they could thrive.

the plan of action:

Rebuild the city by restoring community strength. I plan to bring young people together (1) in our own Do Something Club that encourages mentoring relationships and educates people on how to live healthy- spirit, soul, and body, and (2) monthly in service learning experiences with the Albany Police Department, World Vision, and others local partners in community outreach and revitalization.

how you can get involved:

You can join in the efforts of individuals like myself at Word From Above Ministries or corporations like the United Way of Southeast Georgia and the Albany Police Americorps.
