Our rural community of Ainsworth, Nebraska has been decreasing in population over the last decade. The YCDF is trying to create opportunities for residents, especially the youth, of our community. We think the projects we will be working on will not only help encourage young families to move back to our community, but to encourage today's youth to get involved with community improvement projects.

The YCDF is creating various opportunities for residents and the youth in our community. We are improving recreational activities by making major improvements to our outdoor tennis court, basketball court, and sand volleyball facility. We are also building new batting cages. The YCDF has started a Youth Soccer Leage for elementary students, and will be starting a "Bulldog Buddy" mentoring program this fall.

The Youth Community Development Force (YCDF) is made up of high school students wanting to make a positive impact in our rural community. The YCDF's mission is to develop the opportunitities for our community, to better the quality of life, and make Ainsworth a more desirable place to live and work.

We are looking for ideas to involve a greater number of youth and to continually expand our impact.
