The Problem
High school drop out rates are far too high and I think we should start at the elementary level to encourage students to apply themselves throughout their years of education. As a result I plan on volunteering at my old elementary school with fellow graduates to promote graduating, especially amongst young female students susceptible to teen pregnancy and dropouts.
Plan of Action
I plan on planting a garden or vegetation at Robins Elementary with the help of my friends who also attended Tucson High with me. In addition I am creating 11 back to school packs for female students of the school including so far: cute erasers, paper clips, rubber bands, TY collectible beanie babies, erasable pens, colorful index cards, Polly Pocket dolls, crayons, beads, crafting supplies, and stickers. I chose 11 female students in honor of graduating with the class of 2011.
