Erasing Homophobia
the problem:
District 202 is an organization dedicated to providing safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender young people and their allied friends age 21 and under. The initiative for this grant is to use it to educate the public about the value of tolerance, and how it positively impacts our community to embrace people from all walks of life. By putting young people in the position to speak out about their experiences, it empowers them to take pride in who they are, regardless of sexual orientation. Our youth center has sometimes been described as the only place for many individuals that provides a welcoming environment for them. Outreach will take the form of speaking at several schools and community events. Also, posters and other propaganda will be created to spread the word on how homophobic attitudes affect the targets of discrimination.

In my own personal experience, I have found that, in some cases, the homophobes, are ust insecure with themselves. It could be a great possibility that they themselves are gay... So, there's something to ponder...
I myself are friends with 4 bi girls and I don't see y people are homophobic. Gay and lesbians are just like us and can be who they want to be because the world has many opportunitys to do so. Give someone a hug today. >:D<
i am a bisexual and i have no problem saying so, i am in this world to take advantage of the oppritunities offered to me, not to be discriminated for whom i decide to date.
