The Problem

The community that I am trying to help is the 20th ward in Chicago IL where the has been several killings between the youth and law enforcement and has made a great division in the community. My evidence comes from the local news channels 2,5,7,9 and many others who have broadcast this devastating information about our community.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to host this event in return getting the community involved The steps that I will take are as follows 1. Organize the poetry event 2. Get the word out about the event advertize 3. Invite community leaders 4. Stress the issue that violence must stop before it destroys our communities 5. Make this a yearly event or maybe twice a year I have two role one as the project leader and two as the church’s youth minister.
