The Problem

To start off our year in Midlothian, Virginia, the Do Something Club of James River High was asked by the football team and cheerleaders to help out at one of the first games of the season. The DSC planned faculty night to help the staff enjoy the game. Seated right outside of the endzone, the teachers and their families could enjoy the game with pizza, cupcakes, drinks, James River accessories, etc. Club members baked food and set up games for small children as well as helped serve the faculty. It was an event to celebrate our staff and all of their hardwork. We collected carnival games such as 7-11, tic-tac-toe, "Ker-Plunk," and a "lottery." DSC members spent the game playing with the children of teachers as well. The kids favorite part? The candy prizes!! The night was a success as many teachers left us with words of thanks and praise! We plan to make it an annual event to thank our staff.
