The ONE-Advocates for the Poor on the University of Oklahoma campus proposes a "Fair Trade Week" to raise awareness on campus about Fair Trade and related issues such as extreme poverty and child labor. We aim at showing a film on child labor, "Stolen Childhoods," having discussions and presentations on topics such as "fair trade versus free trade," "how fair is free trade," "watch what you buy" etc, in order to educate our community on the neglected issue of trade, and how their buying habits may affect them. We also want to serve fair tarde coffee at every of our events. Therefore we need financial support in order to widely advertize the event on campus (posters, flyers, pamphlets) and be able to have t-shirts made, and also serve coffee. Thank you for making it possible!
