The Problem

In hard economic times there are people who want have the money for christmas dinner and will most likely have to settle for little of nothing in this holiday season. Feed A family for Christmas food drive goal is to not let this happen. Our goal is to give 50 families christmas dinner.

Plan of Action

I have published information for food drive on website as well as facebook, and intend to ask local grocers to donate to the food drive. I also intend on passing out flyers and pulling on my own personal resources in efforts to raise food for distribution. Drop off times for individuals who are donating are posted on the website. I also have drivers who are willing to pick up food donations for those who are unable to drop off food. Families that will recieve food bags are based on the names given from other local organizations who refer families who really need it.

Project Updates

This is our 2nd annual " Feed a Family For Christmas" Food Drive. We were able to feed 30-35 familes last year, so our goal is to feed 50 families this year will all the food needed to have a great holiday dinner. Food collection will start November 4th- December 16th. Food will be distributed to families who need it most sometime before Christmas.

The Food drive was a great success. We are going to hold it again this year, but start earlier reaching out to local grociers to get more food, so we can reach more families.
