I contacted email@example.com and started brainstorming. She gave me some ideas, and I came up with some of my own. I first ordered some merchandise from their website to resell, bought some breast cancer awareness decorations from eBay, determined a date and time, and reserved a room. At this point, I finalized my plans for the event: I decided to have tables for vendors (a local mastectomy boutique, the Cancer Action Network, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, etc.) I decided that I would also hire some kind of entertainment, like a DJ or musician. I contacted some of the other organizations I am in and asked if anyone would be interested in making baked goods for the event to sell for a donation to Feel Your Boobies. I am the community service chair of a sorority, & we have four families. I gave one person in each family a task (like baked goods, decorations, vendors, and publicity), and they had to perform this task with the help of their family members. Because most of the families failed to accomplish their tasks, I had to call the vendors and DJ, publicize, and decorate at the last minute, but it turned out okay after all. We had a decent turnout and made just a little bit of money, but I know how to fix my problems next year to make it an even bigger success!
