The Problem

The feral cat problem in Oldham County Kentucky. There are numerous homeless cats that wonder the neighborhoods and community that continue to reproduce at an alarming rate. This action contains the animals into a few large colonies where we can trap them and spay/neuter them and release them back to their colony.

Plan of Action

Oldham county feral cat project- I have devoted my time to making rounds to various designated feral cat sites. These sites have been made in order to give these homeless creatures a place to find shelter, food and water. I have made rounds to these sites making sure that the shelters were still standing and in good condition, fed, watered, and lastly checked on the local site cats to make sure that they were in good health. These cat sites often times attracted other homeless cats of which we would capture and take into the humane society to have spayed or neutered. Although we caught most cats in time some still gave birth before we could fix them. A new project was at hand with these kittens, I helped capture, medicate, and foster these kittens until they were ready to be successfully adopted to a permanent home.
