The Problem

My project doesn't address one specific problem that needs to be solved. Rather, it works in the realm of education, with the overarching goal of education and inspiring teen to get involved in service-learning endeavors by showing how everyone in the world is inextricably linked! The profits from the book serve to bring projects featured in the book to fruition. These projects fall into the category of literacy and cancer awareness. Book Description: Alexis Coston is perfect: 4.0, flawless resume, put together 24 hours a day. On the other side of Fayetteville is Lina Dorsay, the beautiful mystery who no one understands. They know nothing about each other and rarely exchange words, despite attending Fayetteville Prep together. Until one typical spring day when Lina opened the car door in her driveway to find Alexis pale and about to pass out. This was the moment that changed everything she knew about Alexis. The two girls who never thought anyone could understand their worlds came together to give each other exactly what they needed, and never knew they wanted. All book profits pay for service projects featured in the book and the printing of more books. But what is it? Fifteen Fragments is a fictional book. It is for teenagers. It is about two seniors in high school who are lost in their own way. It is about the power of truly knowing someone and how those relationships transform who we are. There are fifteen fragments interspersed through the book that form a complete picture of the ways service can be embraced in everyday life. And the story pays for the projects. Every single dollar made from the book is re-injected into the “Spectrum of Service” projects. Become involved in Fifteen Fragments and the projects.

Plan of Action

Marketing! Now that the book is published and is available on Amazon, I need to spread the word about Fifteen Fragments, the Spectrum of Service, and the intersection of art and service.
