Fight

the problem:

You have a mother. Chances are you have a sister or a girlfriend. An aunt. And a girl that means everything to you. Think of four females that mean the world to you. Pick one of them to get raped. You can say that you don't want to, that it's too horrible. But it'll happen, before they turn eighteen. One in four girls are raped by the time they're eighteen, half before fourteen. And it's by people they know. Guys they know. Most rapes are date rapes. Guys you care about and love. You have the power to change it. So will you?

why it's important:

I was sexually assaulted at the age of fifteen, while on a date. We help survivors cope, and help others understand the importance of this issue.

the plan of action:

Bracelets, t shirts, bags, word of mouth. We use facebook and myspace to spread most of our PR. We have encouraged many girls to come forward.

how you can get involved:

If you'd like to tell your story of your sexual assault, or submit poetry, lyrics or anything else of revelance, submit it in a message. We will read it, and if it's found to be appropriate we'll put it up. If it's almost there, but we need you to change some stuff, we'll let you know. Contributions are highly appreciated. You can also spread the word by purchasing a bracelet or putting a banner up on your site.
