The Problem

Stopping the tortuting and slaughtering of Premarin or PMU (Pregnant Mares Urine) Horses, used to create Premarin from their urine. Not only are they later slaughtered, but their foals are too and sent to foreign countires for human consumption as well. Premarin also has been proven to induce breast cancer and ovarian cancer in the women who take this horomone replacement drug to treat menopausal symptoms.

Plan of Action

I have collarboarated with other organizations and have been working with my state rep. and senator to get a bill from last congress term about banning the shipping of horses to mexico and canada for slaughter reintroduced. 380,000 women died last year due to Premarin induced breast cancer. I plan on opening a rescue facility and saving PMU horses from slaughter and educating women that there are alternatives to Premarin that are safer and more cost effective made from Mexican yams and soybeans. I plan on creating awareness of this deadly drug and strive to raise enough funds to be able to rescue a PMU horse from slaughter.
