We are the F.I.R.S.T Robotics team, 1885, aka, "The Robocats," from Battlefield High School in Haymarket Virginia. Our team's mission is to spread science, robotics, and technology to as many students as possible. We strive to inspire students from grades k-5, all the way to seniors in high school, to become interested in science and technology. Recently we placed second at the Richmond regional qualifier, receiving the "Engineering Inspiration" award for our support to the community. With this award we have also qualified to go to the World Championship in Atlanta Georgia. However, due to increased travel fees, being able to go to the World Championship is a very expensive journey. Our team's goal is to raise 20,000 dollars in order to attend the World Championship. Though our community has graciously supported us with several generous sponsors, we still have a large sum to raise and a very short amount of time to do so.
