FIU Galapagos Islands Environmental Conservation

Our trip is scheduled to take place during our universities spring break March 11-21, 2011. First, our group has to fundraise money through grants, bake sales, car washes and raffles for our travel expenses. Our group leaders have coordinated all details of our trip, including where we will be working, staying aswell as traveling details. An important step, I think, is also getting to know my group finding eachothers strengths and weaknesses and continuously working together. So far, I think alternative Breaks has made more of an impact on me personally because we are more in the fundraising stages now and getting to know my group I think we have also made some kind of impact on our university through our fundraising efforts.
