I am planning a Dental Health day camp which will raise funds for a charity in my community that provides no cost dental care. This project is for my Girl Scout Gold Award. Being that I would like to be a Dentist after I graduate from college, the money collected from the campout would benefit a charity that specializes in providing proper dental products to the community and the less fortunate. At the day camp, I plan on having Daisies earn a petal and learn more about the dental field. In addition, the girls will experience a camp setting, but be able to go home at the end of the day. The girls will bring their own sack lunch to minimize costs. I will also have a younger Cadette troop aid in the campout, who will be my peers that I work with, and in hopes they will be able to earn their silver award in the following years. Seniors from my troop will be assigned to work with the Cadettes under my overall supervision. Goals 1. Teaching Daisies personal dental health 2. Helping kids who do not have money for a Dentist 3. Introducing Daisies to Camp 4. Helping Cadette Troop prepare for Silver Award and encouraging them to get Program Aide training.
