The entire school (Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary, Aurora, IL) collected canned and other non-perishable foods to help the Naperville Area Jaycees. Our goal was 700 pounds and we collected 873 pounds! All grains, vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat, paper goods, and "other" were delivered to the Jaycees collection spot in early December 2006. The Community Food Basket Program had lots of good food to distribute to the needy.
