The Problem

Food Justice Foundation addresses issues of food access in underserved communities. Our pilot project serves Trenton, NJ where grocery stores are few and far between, and produce quality is low.

Plan of Action

FJF teams up with existing civic organizations such as churches, schools, and YMCAs, develop buyers' co-ops. Members of the buyers' co-ops preorder produce and FJF employs workers to buy produce at the Philadelphia Regional Produce Market. Finally, FJF organizes a weekly distribution.
