the problem:
We are trying to help children in the foster care system and prevent homelessness.We advocate for foster parents and children in fostercare to help then get the services that they need to thrive.These foster parents face many of obstacles from their own fostercare agency that is suppose to be supporting them and the child that is in their home. This is not happening.The agency's have turn their backs on the fosterparents and children causing them to fend for themselves.

IT is important to me because I have been a fosterparent for 11 years now and I have seen first hand. The injustices toward the foster parents and children. People are content with this behavior and do not want change because it would effect the money that agencies are getting to provide for these children.My friend is a adopted child and her parents passed when she was only 15 years old and she had no support from any one.She was able to get into a college and put her self threw school.These youths face many of obstacles and issues and they should be receiving the proper services from their agency which they are not getting. We need the help of the community about this issue. No one cares about the foster children.their are 15,000 children in nyc that are active in the system.we have children right here in the united states that need help. can you help us to help them.
the plan of action:
WE provide advocates to fosterparents that fight for their rights.We provide educational trainings that empower foster parents and children in foster care.We want to get the community involved and spread the word about this. we want community to lobby in washington to help change reforms and the mistreatment of fosterparents and children. hear the voices of foster parents and children.
how you can get involved:
Community Awareness is what we need. get the community involved about the injustices that go on inside the agency's. Get involved join us now help us help these children.They are still being abuse but by their agency's not providing them with the proper services that they need. get involved become a advocate or outreach worker.
