the problem:
Priya Haji co-founded and served as the executive director of Free at Last, an East Palo Alto, CA substance-abuse prevention and treatment center. The center's work has helped reduce drug trafficing, violence, and crime. In addition, the center has helped to reduce the number of HIV positive people in the area, and provides alternatives for teenagers who have dropped out of high school. Priya won a BRICK Award in 1996.
