The Problem

Many people these days don't have great cameras, and when they want those special moments captured, it costs them a lot. I got so tired of spending 80 dollars a session, and would barter with some local photographers for pictures of my family and I. I then decided to start my own photography, where I would offer to take pictures for families in need for free. I also wanted to offer my services to parents of children in the PICU and NICU at local hospitals. It's a really hectic time when your child is first born and is really sick. I really wish myself that I would've had some professional pictures done of my son before he was a month old. So I have made an offer to the local hospitals and the social workers for the NICU, that I would love to be there for these families in their time of need to take pictures for them, and capture those very important firsts.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to set up enough clients and use word of mouth and social networking sites to advertise my services to these families. I want pamphlets to be available for families when they enter the NICU, and I want to be there for them when they discharge as well. I will be available to take pictures for special events for families that don't have money. I recently started doing Christmas sessions for families that only have one spouse working or were recently laid off.
