To improve the quality of life for children who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor and to provide love, support, and friendship. When you are diagnosed with a brain tumor, you feel isolated, you feel like you can't control what is happening--loss of hair, vomiting, nausea, etc. The loneliness is unimaginable and you just want things to be the way they were. Being a part of a team again is magical and it takes your mind off of what you are going through. Pairing children who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor with collegiate and high school sport teams allows the child to create special bonds with their team, to forget about their journey for just the moment and to feel all the love, support, and friendship from their big brothers and sisers.
