Front Runners New York Gay and Lesbian Pride Race

the problem:

Spend a few hours in Central Park on a Saturday morning and celebrate fitness, Pride and a whole lot more by volunteering at the Front Runners New York Lesbian and Gay Pride Run. New York Road Runners is proud to support this race by offering support in the set up and operation of this Five Miler being held in Central Park on Saturday June 23th, 2007. This race helps support Front Runners New York, a running team for gay men, lesbians, and supportive non-gay people of all abilities. The race starts at 9 AM. Volunteer Check-in will be near the Start/ Finish area of this race which is inside Central Park at East 100th Street and East Drive. Volunteers should report at 7:30 AM and tell any race official that you are looking for Volunteer Check-In. Volunteers are needed to provide information and direction, assist at the finish line, help clip off the participants scoring chips, give out water at the water stops, and more. All volunteers will receive the same race souvenir that the participants get. (All freebies subject to availability). Get an early start on a Saturday morning and start off Pride Weekend on the right foot. For more on Front Runners, visit www.frny.org
