The Problem

The problem we are trying to solve is first and for most keeping toxic products out of land fills but also assisting in saving money for our school and school district in order to be able to continue the quality education it provides that is slowly being deprived by the budget cuts in our state. The communites we are hoping to help is the La Mirada and Norwalk communities.

Plan of Action

Our plan of action that we are already starting is that we are joining forces with Dart recylcling company and P&R paper company in order to be able to change from paper products to all styrofoam since unlike paper, it can be recyled. In this way, we save the district money since foam products are far less expensive than paper. So what we plan to do is build our own receptacles in order to be able to have a specific place to pick up all foam products so that they can be recycled instead of thrown away. Plus, we plan to build other receptaces as well in order to keep our already on going plastic and can recycling program running in order to have a source of income for our club and school as well.
