Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Kentucky is not very environmentally friendly with a huge parking lot, various sport fields, and the main building itself. As a result the green space is somewhat limited. Lexington already has many drainage, sewage, and runoff problems. In response, Henry Clay's new Go Green Club is planting four gardens in April, and hopefully two raingardens to help water issues. Henry Clay is getting the students involved to make them aware of environmental issues and to make them care about their school. This beautification of the school will be a positive impact on the environment, the school, and the community.
