The Problem

My community is not particularly big into recycling and keeping the earth a healthy place. Yes we have our recycling pick ups every two weeks, but most people don't take advantage of the opportunity to recycle. My school also is a big factor. Filled with 1600 students and 200 teachers, theres plenty of paper and water bottles that get thrown into the dump. I say lets create a recycling program for our school and then branch out to the community.

Plan of Action

I plan to implement a recycling program into my high school and then branch out to the community. I have currently been able to help bring recycling bins to the cafeteria in my high school and now I am looking to bring them to the classrooms and hallways. After that is accomplished, I want to replace the garbage containers around town with recyclable ones to help lower my towns footprint on the world.
