Girls 4 The Cure

Our main focus is to raise awareness about breast cancer in our community and surrounding communities. We host events which act both as fundraisers and awareness clinics. We encourage people to get tested for breast cancer and to know the importance of early detection. Our steps include weekly “pink days” were we set up a table at our school in the morning selling pink ribbon items as well as proving information about breast cancer along with that we have benefit which include a talent show, to be held in February and a fashion show to be held in the spring, all of which the proceeds go towards breast cancer research and treatment. With these events people are reminded of the effects of breast cancer and are reminded to get tested. It is our hope that our presence in the community will remind people that although breast cancer is a scary thing they don’t have to go through it alone.
