The Problem

1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean safe drinking water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren't strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses. I am attempting to raise $5000 to build a water well in Central African Republic.

Plan of Action

I gave up my birthday and asked for donations instead of gifts. This ongoing effort will only lasts for the next 59 days. $20 is all it takes to give someone clean water for 20 years. Because I will be 19 next March, I have and will continue to match every $19 raised with $1 of my own.
