The Problem

Grand Junction, Colorado is a small conservative town, The LGBT Youth Group is looking to give youth from the age of 13 - 21 support. If they are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender or straight, we offer support to all in the LGBT Community in Grand Junction a hate-free place to come and talk.We look to educate our youth in anti-bullying, health, HIV and AIDS prevention, Safe sex, coming out, living with LGBT parents and friends, and any other issue that deals directly with them. We also look to host events aimed at the LGBT Youth, such as picnics, trips, and dances.

Plan of Action

We are working on getting insurance so that we can hold meetings twice a month. We are also trying to get information about the youth group into the local high schools, either through flyers around the schools or ad's in the school papers.
