The Problem
Recently my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Two weeks ago she lost the fight against Breast Cancer. I like to think that she didn't lose, because she fought very hard to beat the Breast Cancer. Instead she was a role model for not only myself but for all women and men, that we have known and will know. I feel as if more than ever I need to take care of my body and educate the women and men in our community with healthy tips for leading a Cancer free life. First, everyone should be walking, jogging, swimming, or better yet take the dog out of the house for both of you to get some excerise for at least, atleast 30 minutes. Second, eating healthy such as a full serving of vegetables, and appropriate amounts of poultry, meat or fish daily. If you do not take a multi-vitimin today is a great day to start! Most health stores in our area give discounts on vitimins if you have a local gym membership.
These are a few things that I would discuss on our Community Dog Walks for Healthy Humans and Hounds. During our walks we could share and sympathize with one another about family members with Cancer or we can exchange recipes for healhy meals with one another. As long as more people engage in a healthy routine then more people will be aware of the risks of not leading a healthy lifestyle. Thank you, Krysta Myers
