The Problem

The devastating hurricane that hit Haiti in January 2010 left many families and individuals in impoverished conditions where they lacked basic necessities such as food and water.

Plan of Action

In order to participate, I had to notify my sponsor that I was interested in participating in this service project. We flew to Kansas City, Kansas where we dealt with substantial amounts of students who also signed up to participate in a large room filled with dry foods ready to be packaged into boxes and shipped. The project was sponsored by the Salvation Army and Numana-Saving the Starving both in partnership with the National Forensic League.
