The Problem

The hands on miami project in the city of overtown is aimed at improving the environment and education of the residents. Not only volunteers planted trees, grass and gardens making possible for children to play in a nice place but the whole community has cleaned and painted, including the classrooms. Also a cookbook was written to improve the nutritional status of the residents. It was written in spanish and english and I helped translate it, the book is available online.

Plan of Action

The plan of action was already taken. It started by recruiting volunteers and having the aproval and support of the residents of Overtown.
