The Problem

The problem we are trying to solve is the community's negative view of the homeless, especially families and children.

Plan of Action

We are converting 70 acres of farmland into a summer camp for the children of local homeless shelters. We plan to turn the barn into a dorming area; having stalls with bunk beds for the kids to stay in. We also are creating memory gardens, hiking trails, and a fire pit to give these children a true summer camp experience. We want to use this opportunity to reach out to the children and break down social and emotional barriers that their lack of stability might have created.
