Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County

1) establish a teen advisory board. We are a bunch of adults making decisions for teenagers. We need to let them know that their voices not only are heard, but they matter. 2) Continue to use our website as a place for teens to get connected to as many resources as possible. 3) Host as many fun and educational programs as possible, get teens involved with the planning and facilitating aspect. Currently in the works: a short film/PSA competition, a teen summit, a summer empowerment program. 4) By continuing to raise community awareness and support we will be able to influence larger forces that need to be changed, help teens feel empowered to make safe and responsible decisions by seeing that they CAN and WILL reach their goals.
