The Problem
Sex slavery has always been seen as one of those issues that happens "over there" but not here in my nice suburban neighborhood. I want people to understand that this is not just happening in Thailand, but it could be happening three houses down from you.
Why It's Important
This issue cuts deep into my being. I could literally sit around and mope day after day just thinking about the nonsense, and ridiculousness of this situation. I live every day in constant awareness of the fact that some girl somewhere, right now, is being raped, CONSTANTLY!
The Plan Of Action
My ultimate goal would be to make a documentary and have screenings for it once it is completed. I am beginning to form somewhat of a group on my campus at school to start spreading awareness.
How Can Others Get Involved?
Talk about it! Please, staying quiet has never helped a movement begin.
