the problem:
Haiti is a small country/island in the Western Hemisphere. They have a lot of natural disasters. Our project was to collect various supplies (school supplies, medical supplies, etc.) and then those supplies were sent to agencies in Haiti (mainly in the city of Gonaives which was heavily hit by hurricanes).
vital stats:
people impacted:
84,961people involved:
16why it's important:
It gave the chance to help other people. These are people in great need and sending them necessary supplies gave me a feeling of worth, like I accomplished something.
the plan of action:
This was a project that we did for Interact last year, so we did what we could, collected what we could, and sent it to Haiti.
