The Problem

I am currently a freshmen at the University of Colorado at Boulder and I have noticed an opportunity for this already environmentally friendly university to get even greener. Being that Boulder is only a couple hours away from some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country, many student drive up to the mountains on a daily basis but unfortunately there is a lack of carpooling. Basically there are many more cars driving up to the mountains than necessary and driving in the mountains is highly gas consuming because of the thinner air and slow uphill climb.

Plan of Action

I plan to carry out this project by bringing the idea at the club and team meatings. From there i will get in contact with everyone that has a car and plans to drive up to the mountains so that anyone who needs a ride will contact me and I can set up a carpool. I see this as being successful because it will get more people to the mountains , if all carpoolers chip-in on gas the driver can save money, and just a great way for club and team members to meet each other.
