The Problem

Starting up this project I had Hmong artists in mind. I wanted them to bring out their artistic abilities. During the Hmong New Year, I would go around town posting up flyers and sending flyers on Myspace to influence artists to showcase their work. I believe giving this opportunity to the Hmong artists will encourage them to keep up with their talent and show the community that Hmong people have talents too. This is a way to learn about the Hmong people.

Plan of Action

I had many help from loving people and families. Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT) is a non-profit organization that inspired me to make this project happen. They were kind enough to lend me their seven feet grid walls so I could hang the artworks. I also had help from other individuals, their time saved me pain. After the showcase many individuals commented on my project. This showed me that they respected me and that they enjoy it too. Many artists apply year after year. Their ability to create fascinating pieces improves too. Hmong Artists are improving every year as they showcase their best works.
