The Problem
Playing basketball at the local courts everyday is a fun physical activity my friends and I enjoy every week, but the problem is that there aren't anyone else to play against. That's when my American Heart Association club had the idea to host Hoops for Heart which is a community basketball ladder tournament 3 hours long and approximately 80 people join, while others watch from the sidelines to cheer.
Plan of Action
We already have Hoops for Heart 3-4 times a year, we host Tennis for Heart 2-3 times a year, and we have out door picnics full of various activities to bring students and passerbys playing together in physical activities. Although our impact may not be so tangible, I know that we are creating and impacting of those participating. Proof is that my friends and I are finding opponents on the courts.
