the problem:
I am trying to solve the problem of gender inequality in developing countries. I am specifically working towards women empowerment around the world, but especially in India where women are treated poorly in the workplace and many women with the desires, dreams and ability to excel are not able to and instead rot away in sweatshops working for next to nothing. Women that are able to have access to education or the tools to harness their talents and develop them into their livelihoods not only better their own lives, but also their children's lives and their nation's economy too. The problems that need to be solved are:
1. Lack of access to education
2. Insufficient funds or resources to become economically independent
3. Lack of cultivation of talents.
I am helping to solve these three problems and generate awareness for the cause of women empowerment and the importance of microlending and supporting these women internationally through my nonprofit organization Hope Line Fashions Inc.

20why it's important:
This issue is important to me because I witnessed women working in horrible conditions for ungodly hours when I visited India for vacation last summer. I took a sewing class with women who were not that much older than me. Many of them had the talent or desire to start their own clothing repair stores and to support themselves. I have also personally seen what empowerment can do for an entire village. A poor woman who received a sewing machine from a generous benefactor opened her own clothing repair shop in her village and the entire village brought their garments to her. She was able to send her three children to school.
the plan of action:
Hope Line Fashions Inc is my nonprofit organization that works to empower women and eliminate the problems described above. Hope Line Inc employs women and gives them a living wage and better working conditions by partnering with Girls Helping Girls, another nonprofit organization and reaching out to local charities in India. Hope Line Inc has currently employed 20 women and has made a total of 500 garments. These shirts are sold internationally and targeted towards teens and students. 100% of the funds from the shirts go back to the women in addition to their wages, into projects that help achieve the goals of access to education and opportunity to cultivate their talents. Hope Line Inc provides money to help the women start their own clothing repair businesses, distributes sewing machines, sanitary supplies, school uniforms and textbooks and feminine products.

Hi Hope Line,
You used my "The Streetlight Project" logo for your theme picture, and I would ask you to remove that. Thank you!

Hi, I'm sorry I dont know why thats there. How do you remove that?
You can go on your account and select "Delete" next to your picture, and it will put the next picture in line as your cover picture. I also sent you an e-mail, so disregard that!
never mind, i dont know why that came up as my title picture...i never even knew what that was about nor did i visit your page. sorry for that!!
Not a problem at all! Sorry for the confusion!
Hi, it's back up for some odd reason. Try and upload another picture to take its place! It might be some weird glitch in the system.
Wait, this is really weird. I just uploaded a different picture and this keeps coming...do you know how I can change it??
Ya, make sure you select delete first. Maybe try and log out and log back in. But make sure you click delete and submit so that it's completely deleted.
If that doesn't work, I'd say to make a new project page because this one might have a glitch.
okay just logged back in. I'll try again.
Thanks
There you go! Thanks!
