The Problem

In the Tulsa area there are many animal shelters, but they are all full; I believe there needs to be a bigger push for spaying, neutering, keeping animals off streets, slowing down to avoid hitting animals,volunteering at shelters, and expanding the shelters with appropriate facilities which are needed.

Plan of Action

I would like to create multiple workshops across Oklahoma, which will involve the community in learning about pet safety, the responsibility of having a pet, and what they can do for animal shelters. I would like to raise enough money to help expand extremely crowded shelters so that they will not have to euthanize any animals because of lack of space. I would also like to make a plethora of signs reminding people to slow down and look for strays that can be posted be the side of streets all over Oklahoma. I would also like to find a veterinarian that would reduce the spay and neutering price on a certain week so that we could advertise it and, if we had enough fundraising, helped them pay for the service.
