The Problem

Hubs for Humanity initially started out as a way to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Through fundraisers that a group of friends and I created, we were able to collect and donate nearly $500.00. Towards the end of the school year after the donations were made to American Red Cross of Washington County Maryland, our club got together yet again and a classmate and I had decided that we wanted to continue helping those in need. Our passion and determination towards helping people around the world drove us to create “Hubs for Humanity” as an ongoing way of helping third world countries, countries in need after earthly disasters, the less fortunate and the sick. My involvement in this is that I initiated the creation of the club and I plan on sparking other student’s interest as well. I am dedicated to helping others and my dedication led to a strong work ethic and a new learning experience which has taught me how to be a leader.

Plan of Action

We have involves members of our highschool to donate to the Haiti victims and we are now working towards creating a permanent "Hubs for Humanity" club to benefit any group of people that need it.
