The Problem

In Taiwan, few people have heard about Christianity and the good works that Christians have done. Many overseas Christians participated in the project to spread the Gospel to remote locations in Taiwan. We stayed at a church for over a week and helped them with various things, such as planning for their English camps and cleaning their space. We also taught English to about 50 children at the camps and took care of them 24 hours a day for the whole time that we were there.

Plan of Action

While we were there, I played piano, a lot of it improvisation, while the rest of my group taught the kids songs in English. They also incoporated hand motions and games into the songs. I also taught some basic origami classes in English, so that the children wouldn't feel like they were simply studying a language. They could also learn something fun while practicing their English.
