The Problem

Since poverty is rising in the nation's capital, the need for food banks stocked with supplies year-round is also rising. Without aid, these food banks are going to be wiped clean in the future. Those who can't afford meals will starve, which is something no one should have to go through.

Plan of Action

We contact bands and local music venues in order to host a benefit show for local food banks. We all agree on a "plan of attack" so we can donate as much as possible to a chosen local food bank, such as the DC Central Kitchen. For a night, we all rock out and raise as much as we can. By the next morning, a percentage of the profits are donated. We hope to have at least one benefit show per year, but we would love to have more.
