The Problem

I would like to solve the reasons for African American poverty in the state of VA. I would start with the youth because they secure a way of change for the future. Manterfly would like to set opportunities for the youth to break the cycles of destruction for African American families. The program is for the youth of Richmond to participate in activities that promote the use of Intellect, Creativity, and Education. These three tools together will provide definite success for the future of Richmond's youth.

Plan of Action

My plan is to begin in the local Richmond school district to gather the youth interested. Then we begin to have weekly meetings at the Manterfly facility. Within the facility this program will gain recognition. We will then begin to collaborate with other organizations that are fighting for the same causes. I have personally tried to start this program in a high school in Richmond, however I found it difficult to do this alone. I have partnered with Manterfly Youth Develpment organization and we should be able to take the Richmond youth by storm.
