The Problem
We are trying to unite students at the University of Illinois in efforts to restore Haiti following the devastating earthquake of January, 2010. Instead of several groups doing independent fundraising and awareness events with small target audience, we seek to create a campaign of which the entire campus of 40,000 students and hundreds of other staff, faculty, and affiliates will be aware.
Our goal is to serve as a resource for organizations hosting Haiti relief events to enhance their programs as well as a collaboration to organize a few large events.
Plan of Action
Meet regularly, form teams to plan events, and recruit the involvement of student organizations, local business, and community members.
