The Problem

I Believe education is power. So, when you are educated you become empowered. In Prince Georges County Maryland, some young women have a passion to pursue careers in creative field, like fashion yet, they do not have the resources to do so. So, they turn to things, like Drugs, Violence, Sexual Promiscuity, and other negative activities. As a result, they make life altering decisions and ultimately cannot pursue their Passion. I believe if you have enough Passion, Drive, and Determination, you will be focused on that and how you can achieve that rather than negative things. I want to serve the undeserved Populations of Prince Georges County and surrounding Areas

Plan of Action

I Plan to get a Group of 12 Girls Together and Teach Them about Fashion (I am a Graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology). In addition, to Fashion, I will teach them about Self-esteem, Making Their Communities a Better place (through Volunteer Work, decorating baskets/tote bags for seniors, and making clothes for premature babies), Etiquette, and education. I will be a mentor as well as an instructor to teach these girls that there is more to life than Just Drugs, Boys, and Violence.
