The Problem

Climate change is the most urgent and potentially dangerous issue of our time. Scientists say we have less than 5 years to make the changes necessary to avoid the worst effects of this crisis. But unfortunately, people still aren't considering climate change as a top priority. There are all these other issues that are more important to them. And it's because we are not personally affected YET by this crisis. Our lives are not concretely changed YET. And that is what our challenge is: helping people realize that the climate crisis is the most urgent issue of our time, even though we are not yet seeing the worst effects.

Plan of Action

Partnerships with organizations and businesses, taking advantage of social media (Facebook, Twitter, text messeging, and even a state-of-the-art iPhone app called iMatter!) and working with the parents, teachers, and mentors of youth around the country to coordinate marches and bring people together. And also, of course, working with empowered youth leaders to organize separate marches in all 50 states!
