The Problem
As a member of Sunflower Community Action, and President of Wichita South High Hispanos Unidos Dream Team, I am trying to persuade a majority of Kansas legislatures to neglect a state law that rejects in-state tuition. Undocumented immigrants in the state of Kansas are pursuing a dream that allows them to go to college in/out of state. Almost 206 undocumented students are pursuing that dream right now; Sunflower is persuading legislators and representatives to refuse the bill HR 2205 which suggests "neglects in-state tuition for any undocumented immigrants."
Plan of Action
Sunflower Community Action and the Wichita South High Hispanos Unidos gathered and marched to Topeka, and discussed to the state representatives about how much HR 2205 is impacting the major population of undocumented immigrants residing in Kansas. On March 21-23, I will provide support in the rally to the White House in Washington D.C. with NPA.
